Wayne Bierbaum, MD

Internal Medicine

Dr. Bierbaum has been practicing medicine since 1982 and has been with Bay Community Health since 1989. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and earned degrees from Vanderbilt University and University of Miami. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University’s Roger William Hospital. Dr. Bierbaum has privileges at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Thomas Sheesley, DO

Family Medicine for Adults and Children
Location: West River and Shady Side

Dr. Sheesley joined Bay Community Health in July 2015. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is a National Health Service Corps Scholar. Dr. Sheesley completed Medical School at the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME. Dr. Sheesley treats patients of all ages and has privileges at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Nancy Bryant, RN, BSN, MSN, MPA, CRNP

Nancy Bryant has been practicing medicine since 1977 and has been with Bay Community Health since 2000. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner earning her degrees from The Catholic University of America and Georgetown University. Nancy treats patients of all ages with a special interest in pediatrics.

Ann Hendon, PA-C

Family Medicine
Location: West River

Ann Hendon joined Bay Community Health in October 2013. She is a graduate of Anne Arundel Community College’s Physician Assistant program and obtained her Master of Medical Science degree from St. Francis University in 2008. She was previously at Medstar Harbor Hospital’s Department of Surgery where she was practicing in general surgery and several multidisciplinary surgical subspecialties. Prior to this, she worked as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for 20 years. Ann specializes in adolescents and adults.

Rebecca Roth, CRNP

Family Medicine for Adults and Children
Location: West River and Shady Side

Rebecca Roth joined Bay Community in November 2018. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and her Nursing degree from Yale School of Nursing. Her clinical rotations included an FQHC, as well as neurology and pediatric care with special interest in diabetes management. She currently treats patients of all ages.

Andrea Matthews, MD

Family Medicine
Location: West River

Dr. Matthews is a native of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She earned her medical degree and family medicine training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She attended undergraduate school at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She most recently practiced family medicine in Delaware and the northeast area of Maryland. Dr. Matthews is also a board-certified physician in practice since 2010. Dr. Matthews sees patients of all ages

Our Behavioral Health Providers

Jana Raup, Ph.D., LCPC

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Chief Behavioral Health Officer

Jana Raup has been a licensed, practicing mental health professional since 1988. She has worked with patients from the community and Bay Community Health (BCH) since 2002 and in 2013 was hired by BCH to develop the Behavioral Health program. Dr. Raup continues to serve as both Director of Behavioral Health and as a BCH therapist. She provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy with children, adolescents, and adults and primarily utilizes cognitive behavioral techniques. Her approach is very interactive with both therapist and client as active participants. Dr. Raup earned her doctorate in mental health counseling from the University of Florida and holds Masters Degrees from Towson University and The Johns Hopkins University. She also has advanced training in clinical counseling and therapy from Johns Hopkins and rehabilitation counseling from Ohio University.

Narlie Bedney, LCPC

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Location: West River and Shady Side

Ms. Bedney has been a provider at BCH since June of 2019. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland and is National Board Certified. Prior to joining BCH, Ms. Bedney provided therapy to adolescents, adults, couples and families. Additionally, Ms. Bedney was a Crisis Services Manager where she provided emotional support and referral sources to survivors of sexual assault. Ms. Bedney is skilled in providing crisis interventions, substance abuse treatment planning and clinical assessments. As a current member of Postpartum Support International, Ms. Bedney holds a certification and specializes in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder.

Sharon Burrowes, MSN, CPN, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Location: West River

Ms. Burrowes has been providing mental health services since 1993. She is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management. She has been a provider at BCH since March of 2019. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, performing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, providing mental health care in outpatient and emergency services, as well as client centered care and treatments. With a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Ramapo/University of Medicine and Dentistry and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Rutgers School of Health Related Professions, Ms. Burrowes has a wealth of experience with adults as well as adolescents in the field of mental health and psychiatric care.

Dane W. Juliano

LCPC, R-DMT

Ms. Juliano is a Clinical Professional Counselor and a Registered Dance Movement Therapist licensed in the state of Maryland. Ms. Juliano earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and her Master’s Degree in Creative Arts in Therapy from Drexel University. She has over 12 years of clinical experience providing therapy and referral services to children, families and adults in community-based programs. These services include but are not limited to mental health assessments, outpatient counseling, risk assessments and ongoing treatment for adults who have experienced trauma. Prior to her employment at Bay Community Health, Ms. Juliano was the Clinic Director for Catholic Charities-Villa Maria OMH where she provided clinical supervision, managed 5 clinical managers and 35 clinical and administrative staff and implemented agency policies and procedures.

Bay Community Health is currently scheduling new patient appointments for Ms. Juliano in both their Shady Side and West River offices.
